The Department of Environmental Waste Management would like to advise all residents about the changes to trash pickup and recycling schedule due to the Christmas holiday on Wednesday,
Trash and recycling pickups are on a different schedule next week because of the Christmas holiday.
Since Christmas is Wednesday, recycling is moved to Thursday.
Regular trash pickup that normally is scheduled for Thursday and Friday is pushed back one day.
- Paper and cardboard recycling is being collected on Thursday, December 26th for all residents
- Thursday trash pickup routes will be collected on Friday, December 27th
- Friday trash routes will be collected on Saturday, December 28, 2019
Recycling collection begins at 5:00 AM and trash collection begins at 6:00 A.M., so please put these materials to the curb prior to their respective route start times to ensure collection.
Town Hall is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but the Town’s Recycling Center at 641 New York Avenue, Huntington will be open on Tuesday (Christmas Eve) from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
