Titone, 46, was charged with Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, a Class D Felony, and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a Class E Felony.He is being held overnight at the Second Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip. In a letter posted to the Northport school district website, Superintendent Robert Banzer wrote,
“The driver in question drove a small bus accompanied by a driver assistant. The routes include Northport High School (Van 5), Northport Middle School (Van 1), East Northport Middle School (Music Van 3) and Pulaski Road Elementary School (Van 1). Should you have any information or complaints related to this driver, please contact the Suffolk County Police directly at 631-854-8200.
We are extremely appalled and troubled by these allegations.
I have confirmed with Huntington Coach that this driver will no longer service our district.
Again, we are truly disheartened to learn of these allegations.
