Services Set for Scott Blackshaw, Ex-NYPD

Visiting hours have been set for Tuesday for Scott Blackshaw, 52, of Huntington Station, who died Sunday.

He was a retired member of the New York Police Department who had developed cancer attributed to his work at Ground Zero post-Sept.11.

He is survived by his  brother David (Amy) and nephews Michael and Matthew, his constant and devoted Corgi, Bo.

Visitation will be at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station on Tuesday from 4-9 PM.

A mourner wrote on his page, “Scott, You will be missed and were beloved by your class mates. Your journey has been hard the last few years but I’m hope all take solace in your dedication to your profession. You took me to my first Monster Truck show when I was visiting our hometown from college break. We had so many laughs and fun times. The memories of the friendships you made with all of us will never be forgotten.”

Mass will be said at St. Anthony’s Church in Northport on Wednesday at 10:45 AM.
