Shelf Life: Huntington Libraries Launch Space, Science Summer Reading Programs

Libraries across Long Island, and across the country, are celebrating science, space, and literacy with the “A Universe of Stories” summer reading initiative.

Each year, the Collaborative Summer Library Program selects a theme and provides libraries nationwide with reading program materials geared toward early literacy, children, teens, and adults. This year’s “A Universe of Stories” theme, chosen in collaboration with STAR Net, coincides with NASA’s 60 years of achievement and the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.
