Dogs Take Their Turn on the Town Board Catwalk

Councilman Edmund J. Smyth  arranges regular appearances of shelter dogs at Huntington Town Board meetings to encourage their adoption.

A dog named House  was last week’s guest star.

“My goal is to maximize the public exposure for shelter dogs. Giving a few minutes on the “catwalk” has already gotten 2 out of 4 dogs adopted!,” he said. “It’s an easy thing to do, costs the town nothing, and lightens the mood in the public meeting.”
