A new shop with a Hawaiian vibe by way of Fire Island has opened in Halesite.
Lynnette and Peter Vitali opened Hanalei and Kula’s, last week at 74 New York Ave. , their second store. The first shop operates in Ocean Beach on Fire Island.
The couple has been in Huntington for 34 years, though summer on Fire Island, but Lynnette says, “Aloha is a big word for us. We adore Hawaii.”
“We’re simple people,” she said, “All of our things are beautiful.”
She calls the shop a lifestyle store, with a hippie vibe. Products are for women and men of all ages, to match what she calls a luxury bohemian style: clothing, books,wellness items, crystals, specialty perfumes, spa products, tinctures, jewelry, candles and more.
