Snow, Then Rain Expected

Weather forecasters are expecting a slippery commute Tuesday as snow and sleet will hit the Huntington area, with snow totalling 2 to 4 inches.

A winter storm warning is in effect as of 6 a.m. Tuesday.    By late afternoon,  the snow will become freezing rain, falling on top of the accumulated snow.

The high is expected to hit 34 degrees, with wind chill values between 20 and 25. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch is possible.

The National Weather Service said to plan on facing slippery road conditions.
