Snow and sleet are in the forecast for the Huntington area, with a winter advisory in effect from 7 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday.
The National Weather Service is predicting a snow total of 2 to 4 inches in the region, with Nassau County and northwest Suffolk County expected to see the most snow.
Slippery conditions are expected, with snow-covered roads and limited visibility.
Friday morning’s snow was the first of three snowfalls expected for the weekend. The third storm is expected Sunday night into early Monday, the National Weather Service said.
