Some Schools Going Remote, Others Taking a Snow Day Tuesday

School districts are taking different approaches for classes for Tuesday because of the winter storm. Here is what they are doing.

As of 5:37 p.m., here’s what we know:

Half Hollow Hills is taking a second traditional snow day.

Harborfields has a snow day. “Harborfields Schools will be closed, and all school activities are canceled, for Tuesday, February 2nd. It is important to note that the Harborfields school calendar has five emergency closing days built in.  As a result, this day will be treated as a traditional “snow day” with no remote instruction,” the district said.

South Huntington is going remote, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday. See the district website for details.

Huntington is going all remote. Details on their website.

Northport is also fully remote on Tuesday.  All students should follow their regular schedule and log on to classes remotely.

We will update as we receive information about other districts.
