Some Tax Bill Reminders Have Wrong Due Date

The Town of Huntington will be sending out corrected tax bills after discovering that notices had used the wrong due date.

A notice posted on the town’s website said that a “computer glitch” had resulted in some second-half reminders having the wrong due date. Second-half taxes are due June1; May 31 is Memorial Day.

Seniors with low income exemption or enhanced STAR exemptions on their bills can pay without penalty until June 4. The town said that the tax amounts should be correct on the bills.
