South Huntington Schools to Honor Bennardo at Retirement

The South Huntington school board  has scheduled a retirement party Monday for  Dr. David  Bennardo, who is retiring as superintendent of the district after nine years.

The celebration will run from 6 -8 p.m., starting with a ceremony in the Performing Arts Center at WaltWhitman High School  featuring a video about   Bennardo’s years with the district. Festivities will continue in the South Cafeteria and adjoining outside courtyard for appetizers and dessert. The event is open to staff, parents, students and community members.

Bennardo is running as a Republican for a seat on the Huntington Town Board.
