Sponsored: Pro-Level Orthopaedic Care Right in Huntington

By William Healy III

People who have an orthopedic injury shouldn’t need to hobble far from home to get the best care. Whether you are suffering from minor aches and pains or you sustained a sports injury, Huntington Hospital has got you covered with comprehensive orthopedic care.

Newly-hired Robert Trasolini, MD, a part of Northwell Health Physician Partners Orthopaedic Institute and a sports medicine physician at Huntington Hospital, can perform arthroscopic treatment of the knee, shoulder, hip, ankle and elbow. That includes anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, complex ligament reconstruction of the knee as well as shoulder arthroplasty. He can also treat children who suffer sports injuries.

Dr. Trasolini has been active in sports for most of his life and completed a fellowship for shoulder surgery at New England Baptist Hospital – Boston Children’s Hospital. His dedication and experience with athletic injuries makes him an ideal physician to care for your sports-related issues.

Huntington Hospital also has a specialist in ankle and foot orthopedic surgery. Adam Bitterman, DO, from Commack, did a fellowship at Rush University Medical Center and performed Huntington Hospital’s first total ankle replacement. He also treats achilles bursitis, achilles tendon disorders/injury and diagnostic arthroscopy of ankle joint.

Dr. Burlage, also a Huntington native, has returned to care for people’s hand, wrist and shoulder orthopedic needs. She completed her fellowship training at NYU Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases and did her residency and internship at LIJ Medical Center.

Added to the hip and knee joint surgery that I, William Healy, III, MD, already provide, Huntington Hospital now has highly trained orthopedic specialists for all of the needs of this community. Having these other Huntington natives join myself, a third generation Huntington orthopedic surgeon, is a great benefit to our community.

As a physician who cares for total joint replacement patients and a sports medicine physician, I am thrilled to have these orthopedic specialty physicians join our four-time Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval designated total joint replacement team; they are a great complement to our program. We are all part of the Northwell Health Physician Partners Orthopaedic Institute, which includes a wide breadth of top-of-the-line orthopedic services including rehabilitation and physical therapy. Having all of these services available in our community is a win for our patients.
