St. Patrick’s Parade Marches On in Huntington

Rain and chill may have dampened the turnout but not the enthusiasm of the marchers or the crowd at Sunday’s St. Patrick’s Day parade in Huntington.

Marchers included pipe and drum bands from around Long Island and New York City, firefighters from several local departments including some from the Melville Fire Department executing some disco dance moves, the Walt Whitman and St. Anthony’s High School bands, a collection of husky snow dogs, elected officials and contingent of Falun Dafa adherents.

Sunday’s march was the 85th annual Ancient Order of Hibernians JFK Division IV parade, with Timothy Rossiter serving as grand marshal.
