St. Patrick’s Parade Returns to Huntington

Irish pride was on full display Sunday afternoon as pipe bands, elected officials, dancers and others came out to celebrate the 88th annual St. Patrick’s parade in downtown Huntington.

A year after the Covid-19 epidemic led to the cancellation of the parade in 2021, residents, many wearing coats, gloves and hats, turned out in the chilly air and lined New York Avenue and Main Street to cheer on the passing marchers.

Michael Dowling, president and CEO of Northwell Health, led off the Ancient Order of Hibernians parade as grand marshal.
