Stand Up For Suzanne Donates $25,000 to Cold Spring Harbor Research

In honor of a Huntington resident who lost her battle with metastatic breast cancer, $25,000 has been recently donated to breast cancer research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.

Stand Up For Suzanne, a local non-profit that was established in honor of Suzanne Sokolowski-Shea, gave the donation in December.

Every year, the group hosts a luncheon and other events, which raise funds for CSHL’s breast cancer research. They have donated nearly $60,000 since 2014.

The most assistance went towards supporting Assistant Professor Camila dos Santos’s research for the disease at the lab.
