New York has created a COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker Dashboard, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo announced Tuesday.
The dashboard will update residents on the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine including the number of doses received by the state, a breakdown of first or second doses, and the number of residents inoculated with the first and second doses in each region.
So far, New York has administered 79 percent of the first doses of the Covid-19 vaccine received from the federal government, Cuomo said. In addition 77 percent of first and second doses have been administered.
The State Department of Health requires vaccinating facilities to report all COVID-19 vaccine administration data within 24 hours; the vaccine administration data on the dashboard is updated daily to reflect the most up-to-date metrics in the state’s vaccination effort. To access the dashboard, go to ny.gov/vaccinetracker.
“This is a major milestone in the fight to defeat COVID-19. Despite the federal government opening up the floodgates of eligibility while decreasing the supply of vaccines, 1 million eligible New Yorkers and all nursing home residents and staff who wanted the vaccine have already been inoculated with the first dose,” Cuomo said.
A breakdown of the data is as follows (based on numbers reported to New York State as of 11:00 am today):
