State Lists Sites for Covid-19 Testing

New York State is providing a search tool for residents who want to take a Covid-19 test.

Meanwhile, News12 reported that people with confirmed appointments for tests began arriving at the IBEW Local 25 headquarters in Hauppauge Monday morning, even though the testing site doesn’t open until Wednesday. The site is one of two scheduled to open on Long Island; the other is at Kennedy Memorial Park in Hempstead. The state announced the two sites last week.

In Albany, Gov. Kathy Hochul  said Governor that military veterans who received their shots at a U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs hospital or health care facility in New York  are eligible to use the Excelsior Pass and Excelsior Pass Plus. Previously,  the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs shared COVID-19 vaccination data received by U.S. Military veterans living, working and getting vaccinated in New York directly with the federal government. This  vaccination data  remained outside of the state’s jurisdiction, and could not be included in the state’s immunization databases.
