Station Man Accused of DWI in Melville Crash

Suffolk County Police  arrested a Huntington Station man Sunday on charges of driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle crash in Melville.

Suffolk County police said Brenten Biber was driving a 2017 Honda Civic west on Baylis Road when his vehicle apparently went through a red light about  6:15 a.m.and struck a 2014 Honda Accord traveling south on Broadhollow Road.

Biber was transported by Melville Fire Department ambulance to Nassau University Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the Accord, Jay Kim, 61, of East Northport, was transported by Melville Fire Department ambulance to Huntington Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Biber, 32, of Huntington Station, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and will be arraigned on a later date.
