Suffolk County Police arrested a Huntington Station man Thursday on charges of stalking a 14-year-old girl.
The man followed the girl in his gray Jeep Wrangler and engaged her in inappropriate conversation on numerous occasions around Huntington Station between Oct. 16 and Nov. 7, police said.
On one occasion the man got close to her and prevented her from moving away from him.
On another occasion, the girl was able to get the man’s license plate.
Following an investigation by Second Precinct Crime Section officers, George Letellier was arrested.
Letellier, 56, is charged with Stalking 4th Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
