Storyville Gets New Name, Menu

Storyville American Table traded in its Cajun-style menu for a New England-style seafood lineup this weekend.

Renamed Finley’s Seafood, the restaurant will offer its full local seafood menu in May but will offer a more limited version  until then.

The restaurant is participating in Long Island Restaurant Week from April 22-29.  It is adjacent to and owned by Finley’s of Green Street.

Chef Michael Meehan and producer/promoter Scotto Savitt have teamed up with Finley’s of Green Street to create the new restaurant.

Meehan’s menu will include a variety of traditional and innovative New England Seafood dishes, along with numerous other choices. Savitte predicted that “Finley’s Seafood will be the most dynamic point of destination for dining and entertainment on Long Island.”

Storyville opened in 2013 with a menu featuring jambalaya, barbecue shrimp and veal grillades and other New Orleans-style meals.

It drew its name for the former red-light district in New Orleans.
