The following streets will be closed over the next few days for homecoming and Columbus Day parades, as well as the Long Island Fall Festival, the Town of Huntington said.
- Saturday: Huntington High School Homecoming Parade: The following roads will be closed on Saturday from approximately 11 am to 1 pm — Gerard Street between West Neck Road and Clinton Avenue, to West Neck Road, Main Street, New York Avenue, Semon Road to Holdsworth Drive, ending at Huntington High School. The Blue Devils play West Babylon at 1:30 pm.
- Saturday and Sunday: Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce’s Long Island Fall Festival: On Saturday and Sunday, from 7 am to 7 pm, portions of Madison Street and Prime Avenue adjacent to Heckscher Park will be closed.
- Sunday: Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America’s Annual Long Island Columbus Day Parade: On Sunday, October 10th, from approximately 11:15am to 2:30pm, Route 25A/Main Street and surrounding side streets will be closed between Park Avenue and Lawrence Hill Road.
