Student Works On View at Heckscher Museum

The Heckscher Museum has 79 works by student artists on display this month, chosen from a record 399 submissions.

The exhibition, reflecting the works of students from 58 Long Island schools, is on view in the galleries through May 29.

Curator Karli Wurzelbacher and guest judge artist Emily Martin chose the finalists.

In June, Mitchell’s in Huntington and The Firefly Gallery in Northport will feature select works in their stores.

Chosen Best in Show was the work  “This Is Who I Am,” a mixed media project created by Ashley Park, an 11th-grade student at Half Hollow Hills West.

The works can be seen at https://www.heckscher.org/gallery/?post=15050
