Suffolk Jail to Resume Visits March 23

The Suffolk County jail will resume allowing inmate visitation effective March 23, Sheriff Errol D. Toulon Jr. said Wednesday.

Visits will be limited to non-contact, half-hour sessions, and masks will be required. Appointments will also be required, and no walk-in visits will be allowed.

Toulon said, “As the health and safety of inmates, visitors, and staff remain paramount during the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to ensure a balance between permitting visits with friends and loved ones while continuing to mitigate the spread of coronavirus.”

The sheriff’s office will begin making reservations on March 22.  Anyone wishing to make a visiting appointment or obtain more information should call (631) 852-1894.
