Suffolk Legislators Sworn In, Named to Committees

Suffolk County legislators representing parts of Huntington were sworn into office at the beginning of January.

Elected to represent the 18th District, Republican Stephanie Bontempi was named vice chair of the education and labor committees, and named to the Economic Development, Planning and Housing, Public Safety and Ways and Means.

Democrat Tom Donnelly, who was re-elected to his third term in the 17th District, was named to the Public Safety Committee and reappointed to the Fire, Rescue, EMS and Emergency Preparedness Committee, the Health Committee and the Ways and Means Committee.

Republican Manuel Esteban was elected to his first term, representing the 16th District. He was appointed to the government operations, personnel, IT and Diversity Committee, Health, Public Safety and the Ways and Means committees.
