Anti-drug efforts got a boost Thursday night when Appliance World hosted Taste of the Town, featuring foods from more than 20 restaurants.
Janice Talento, CEO and president of Drug Free Long Island, said the event had “great support from the restaurants, businesses and community to address the issues and make an impact here.”
In addition to food tastings, the event offered a silent auction of such items as a Jacob deGrom autographed baseball and a Henry Hill autographed Goodfellas framed display, and raffles.
