Teen, 16, Stabbed in Huntington Station

A Huntington Station teenager was stabbed Sunday night after three males on bicycles confronted him on Depot Road.

Suffolk County police said the teen, who is 16, was walking on Depot Road about 10:40 p.m. when the trio confronted him. He ran south on First Avenue but got into a physical confrontation with the three and was stabbed.

The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment. His injuries were not life-threatening.

Police said the assailants fled in an unknown direction. They were described as Hispanic and approximately 17 years old.  One suspect was wearing a dark colored hat.
