UPDATE
The Bryant, part of the Poll Restaurants chain, opened Monday in the spot vacated by a TGIF restaurant in January 2017.
The doors opened at 4 p.m.to the 10,000-square foot property next to Walt Whitman Shops on NewYork Avenue.
Waiters in crisp white linens could be seen Monday afternoon scurrying about the restaurant ahead of the opening.
In addition to the main dining area, The Bryant has three private dining room options for parties and events.
The organization, owned by Gillis and George Poll, offers a wide variety of restaurants, from trattorias to taverns and bistros. This is their first in Suffolk County.
