Happening This Week: Job Fair, Holocaust Commemoration

School board elections are coming up, and with it, candidate nights. In addition, Walt Whitman High School is celebrating its championship football teams over the years, the South Huntington Public Library is hosting a job fair, and law enforcement officers are inviting Huntington residents to join them for bowling on Saturday.

Monday

Candidates for the school board in Half Hollow Hills will meet at 7 p.m. to discuss their positions on school issues.

 

Wednesday

A Suffolk County Department of Labor job fair is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to noon at the South Huntington Public Library.

 

The Dix Hills Jewish Center will have its 31st annual commemoration of the Holocaust, featuring survivor Leo S. Ullman.

Thursday

The Huntington Chamber of Commerce will help cut the ribbon on Batteries Plus at noon.

Friday

Saturday

Law enforcement and the Town of Huntington invite residents to sign up for free bowling at Larkfield Lanes in East Northport.

 

Sunday

The Huntington Station Latin Quarter will have its 12th annual cleanup of Huntington Station.
