Tickets Available for Oheka Castle Garden Party

Friends of Oheka, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection, preservation and public awareness of the castle, has just announced the date of its annual garden party celebrating Oheka Castle’s century-old birthday.

The gala, scheduled for June 12, is the 19th consecutive garden celebration that hands out scholarships and awards, along with hors d’oeuvres, a buffet dinner, wine, desert and live entertainment. Attendees have been known to come dressed in their best 1920s “Gatsby” styled clothes – although it is not mandatory for the event.

The Wednesday night gala will be held rain or shine from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friends of OHEKA will be recognizing its 2019 Humanitarian Award to Steven and Paul Gentile from Adventureland. Recipients of the Otto Kahn Award–  scholarships handed out to town of Huntington high school seniors who plan on continuing their education in the arts – will also be honored.

Since its inception, the organization has raised over $175,000 to those seniors through this fundraiser.

Tickets are available on the new Friends of OHEKA website (friendsofoheka.org) or at oheka.com. Attendees of past garden party celebrations will receive their formal invitations in the mail this month.
