Toby Tobias will be the featured musician at this week’s First Friday event at the Heckscher Museum.
The South African-born musician will perform a solo show of his original music. He said he is looking forward to the program.
“Not only is it my hometown, but it’s such a beautiful place to performm. The acoustics are magnificent. Obviously I’m very excited to be performing and to bring my music of hope and acceptance of the brotherhood of man to our community.
The musician, who left South Africa when he was 18 and moved to Israel, is now a resident of Huntington Station, and has lived in the town of Huntington since 2013.
“I tend to write songs of peace and connection with our various ethnic backgrounds that our town of Huntington encompasses,” he said.
