Toddler Found Unresponsive in Dix Hills Pool

A 2-year-old girl was found unresponsive Monday night in her family’s pool in Dix Hills, Suffolk County Police said.

Police responded to 12 Kilmer Ave. after a 911 call reported that the girl had been found in the inground pool about 7 p.m.

The Dix Hills rescue squad performed CPR, revived her and took her to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where she was listed in serious condition.

“My crew did an outstanding job and I couldn’t be more proud,” fire department chief Tom Napolitano told Newsday. “And our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to the family.”
