Tour Boosts Downtown Huntington Businesses

Several downtown businesses hosted a tour of Huntington shops as part of Small Business Saturday.

Officials are hoping that residents support local businesses trying to recover from the economic downturn brought on by the Covid-19 epidemic.

The town recently waived metered parking fees in the Huntington Village shopping area until Jan. 1 to encourage shopping.

Town Supervisor Chad Lupinacci, State Sen. Jim Gaughran, State Assemblyman Steve Stern, Rob Calarco, presiding officer of the Suffolk County Legislature and several Chamber of Commerce and other business leaders went on the tour.
