Town Attorney Sworn In; Board Approves Action on Blighted Houses

The Huntington Town Board recently appointed Susan Coleman as town attorney, succeeding Deborah Misir, wh/o resigned last month.

Coleman previously served as deputy town attorney. Succeeding her in that job is J. Edward Gathman Jr.

The board also voted to:

Approve the retention of the law firm Beveridge and Diamond to handle the negotiations of solid-waste agreements, at a cost of $640 an hour.

Approve legal action against several properties deemed as blighted:

  • 47 St. Andrew’s Drive, Huntington
  • 30 Penfield Dr., East Northport
  • 33 Roxbury St., Huntington Station
  • 201 Mount Misery Road, Melville
