Town Board to Vote on Scheduling Public Hearings

The Huntington Town Board is expected to vote Tuesday on the scheduling of several public hearings, including:

To consider the increase and improvement of facilities of the Dix Hills Water District, at the estimated maximum cost of $1,040,000.

To consider the increase and improvement of facilities of the South Huntington Water District, at the estimated maximum cost of $9,100,000.

To consider the increase and improvement of facilities of the Greenlawn Water District at the estimated maximum cost of $5,385,000.

To consider the increase and improvement of facilities of the Consolidated Refuse District at the estimated maximum cost of $500,000.

To consider amending the code of the Town of Huntington to revoke the designation as an historic landmark of the building known as the Johnson-Sprague Farm, 271 Cedar Road, Commack.

To consider authorizing the supervisor to execute a license agreement with New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC for the use and occupancy of property off of 10th Avenue in the East Northport Long Island Railroad train station parking lot.

To consider awarding a license agreement for commercial outdoor advertising and bus shelter maintenance services for the Town of Huntington with Insite Street Media.

To consider amending the Uniform Traffic Code of the Town of Huntington, Chapter 2, Article II, §2-2, Schedule B.  Re: Melville Road – Huntington Station – prohibited turns on red signals.
