Town, Hospital to Offer Free Skin Cancer Screenings

The Town of Huntington and dermatologists from Huntington Hospital will provide free skin cancer screenings at Crab Meadow Beach on Saturday and again on July 13.

“Getting a skin cancer screening is very important for your health,” said Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci. “It is always a good idea to get your skin checked, I thank Huntington Hospital Northwell Health for collaborating with the Town to provide this critical prevention service for free.”

Crab Meadow Beach is  at the north end of Waterside Avenue, Northport. Free skin cancer screenings will be performed on a first-come, first served basis on Saturday, June 15 and Saturday, July 13 from 10 AM to 12 PM. No appointment is needed. Participants are advised to arrive appropriately dressed, as there is no changing area (swimwear, bikinis, swim trunks, flip flops, sandals).

Vehicle access to Crab Meadow Beach requires a beach permit. Vehicle registration and driver’s license are required. Permit must be affixed by the attendant to the vehicle.
