Huntington elected officials and community leaders will celebrate the 25th annual Hispanic Heritage Month on Oct. 18, with cultural music performances and a dinner.
Keynote speaker is Veronica Melgar, an educator, counselor and activist. Receiving the community service award will be Solange Rich.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School at 155 Lowndes Ave., Huntington Station.
