Tuesday-Friday trash pickup in Huntington is just Tuesday this week as the town marks Veterans Day.
On Friday, collection is canceled and won’t be rescheduled. Instead, residents on a Tuesday/Friday schedule can put out two days worth of trash on Tuesday, Nov.15.
During Thanksgiving week, the collection schedule reamins unchanged before the holiday. But there is no pickup on Thanksgiving Day for those whose trash is normally picked up on Thursday. Pickup is pushed back one day for all residents after the holiday.
Weekly yardwaste collection is scheduled from Nov. 6 through the end of the year. Residents are advised that due to the excess volume of bagged leaves coming from fall clean ups their scheduled yardwaste collection day may vary from week to week.
