Town Will Mark Black History Month With Play, Salute to Retired Jet Players

The Town of Huntington’s 33rd celebration of Black History Month will take center stage Feb. 13 at Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School. 

Huntington officials will be joined by state and Suffolk County officials, and community leaders for the celebration, which will feature the stage play Martin, Malcolm and Me, by JD Lawrence, at  the school.

 The program will honor retired New York Jets players Emerson Boozer, Bobby Jackson, Freeman McNeil, and Wesley Walker. The event, sponsored by Empire Auto Group, People’s United Bank, and Health First, will include dinner and a musical performance by Voices of Huntington, a collaboration of several churches within Huntington.

 The program will begin at 7 p.m.
