Toys for Tots Campaign Underway

The Marines’ Toys for Tots collection is underway around Huntington.

On Tuesday, town officials and representatives of the Marine Corps came together at Town Hall to promote the program. Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci said, “The gift of a shiny new toy can show underprivileged children that someone cares, they haven’t been forgotten, and that Christmas hasn’t passed him or her by.”

Lupinacci, Councilman Eugene Cook, Councilman Ed Smyth and Receiver of Taxes Jillian Guthman were joined by Major Chuck Kilbride, U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) (Retired), Gunnery Sgt. John C. Sardine, USMC, Dr. Bobby Kalotee, Co-Chair, Long Island Toy for Tots Committee, and Robert Capodonna, Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association.

And, toys can be dropped off at the office of State Assemblyman Steve Stern until Dec.17.

Toys can be taken to his office at 95 Broad Hollow Road, Suite 100, Melville,

Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, ph. 631-271-8025
