East Northport Fire Department and EMS personnel extracted a trapped occupant of a car from an overturned SUV Sunday afternoon. The accident sent five people to hospitals.
The vehicle overturned at the intersection of Larkfield Road and Cedar Road.
Fire crews utilized extrication equipment including the “Jaws of Life” to remove the roof of an overturned SUV and safely remove the occupant.
EMS crews treated and took five other patients with non-life-threatening injuries to appropriate hospitals.
