Suffolk County Police reported Friday afternoon that a puppy stolen from Petite Pets on Thursday had been returned.
Police said a woman walked into Petite Pets, at 2385 New York Ave., placed a Malshipoo puppy in her bag and exited the store at about 4:40 p.m.
The male dog, named “Cloud,” is approximately 2 pounds and 3 ½ months old.
Second Squad detectives are investigating. There was no further information on the theft or the dog’s return.
