The Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium is offering workshops for children in kindergarten to third grade.
On Monday, a workshop in mixed media self-portrait will help children created “selfies.”
On Wednesday, kids will be able to explore the way living things get energy, examine plant bulbs and make a bulb-forcing container with narcissus.
Beth Laxer-Limmer, Associate Director of Education, said, “Our art and science workshops are a great way for kids to have fun learning in the collections and to create unique art.”
Workshops are offered from 10 am to 12 pm. Fee: $20 / $18 for members.
With school winter break around the corner, organizations are creating workshops, outings and more to entertain the kids. We’re highlighting a number of activities for those looking for things to do.
