A car flipped over and landed in a wooded area on Park Avenue on Sunday around 5:30 p.m.
Suffolk County Police and Greenlawn Fire Department firefighters were on the scene.
One person was reported to be in the vehicle that oveturned but there was no immediate information about how the crash occurred or on any injuries.
The crash took down a utility pole and wires were hanging alongside the wooded area.
The crash occurred near Lantern Street, just south of the Dix Hills Road intersection with Park Avenue. Police and fire trucks closed off Park Avenue from Maplewood south to the Leigh Street intersection.
No further information was immediately available.
Update: On Monday, utility crews were on the scene of the crash, repairing damage.
