Veterinary Center Opens on East Main Street

The Veterinary Surgical Center of Long Island opened its doors for business in Huntington on Monday.

The practice, housed in a newly constructed 10,000-square foot building at 188 East Main St., is led by Dr. Margaret Puccio. She is a board-certified veterinary surgeon who graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She interned at the Animal Medical Center in New York City and later practiced at Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island.

She has a home in Huntington.

The veterinary center replaced the former Fort Hill Nursery, which closed in 2019 and was torn down.

The practice offers 24-hour emergency services.
