Hundreds came out to Mill Dam Park Sunday to celebrate Huntington’s waterfront and learn about boating safety.
The festival featured 150 vendors, music, food, a puppet show and more. On hand were representatives of marine towing and salvage operations, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Halesite Fire Department, a baymen’s group, paddleboard companies and more.
The festival was part of Safe Boating Week in Huntington, which will include classes on taking command of a vessel in an emergency, tying proper knots and more.
