In Huntington, three people are running to succeed Chad A. Lupinacci as town supervisor: Councilman Gene Cook, Rebecca Sanin and Councilman Ed Smyth. Four people are running for two spots on the Town Council: Sal Ferro, Jen Hebert, Joe Schramm and Dr. Dave Bennardo. In addition, Kevin Orelli is seeking re-election as highway superintendent, challenged by Andre Sorrentino. And Councilman Mark Cuthbertson is running for the Suffolk County Legislature against newcomer Stephanie Bontempi, while Suffolk County Legislative Majority Leader Susan Berland is being challenged by Republican Manny Esteban, 17th District Legislator Tom Donnelly is running against Republican Stephen Becker.
