Whitman Birthplace Offering Poetry in Place of Pigskin

The Walt Whitman Birthplace will give you a chance to leave the grass behind, by hosting a Super Poem Sunday on Feb. 2.

Scheduled for 1-4:30 p.m., the poetry-slam competition will include all styles and forms, with a three-minute reading limit. Readers perform live; three winners will be chosen with one picked as MVP–Most Valuable Poet.

For those who like poetry and sports, the event will end in time to catch the Super Bowl game Sunday evening.

$10 admission
books, raffle prizes, 50/50 raffles will be for sale.

Hosted this year by The Bards Initiative.
