Walt Whitman beat William Floyd 42-7 Friday night to capture the Suffolk County Division I championship. It was the team’s 11th straight victory this season.
When the Wildcats beat Ward Melville last week for their 10th victory, it was the first time the school had gone 10-0 in the school’s history.
The game was played at Stony Brook University’s Lavalle Stadium.
Whitman will play Massapequa Friday at Hofstra.
