Wind, Rain Blast Huntington; Outages Reported

Utility crews were out  on the streets in HuntingtonThursday, draining water and repairing downed wires as heavy rain and wind blasted the area.

At 3:30 p.m. PSEG-LI reported about 227 customers without power, an an estimated restoration time of 1:15 a.m.

Heavy flooding covered the intersection of Folsom Avenue and Broadway in Huntington Station and wires dangled from wires on several streets.

The rain is expected to last until about 5 p.m., with winds at 21 to 25 mph, with occasional gusts to 47 MPH.
