Woman Accused of Arson in New York Avenue Fire

 A woman was charged with arson after a fire broke out in the 1500 block of New York Avenue, Huntington Station early Tuesday morning.

Police said Deborah Yeary, 57, set her apartment on fire. It is connected other apartments, on the second floor above above a row of commercial buildings.

Yeary, was charged with second-degree arson by Suffolk Arson Section Detectives. Yeary started the fire at 1:45 a.m., police said.

No one was injured.

It was the second apartment fire on New York Avenue in the last month.
